Introducing the Mellon Humanities Internship Program
The Mellon Humanities Internship Program provides undergraduate students majoring or minoring in the humanities with meaningful work experience through paid internships and career development workshops.
The program is supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, which awarded a $4.8 million grant to the College of Arts and Sciences to provide otherwise unpaid internships for up to 900 students each year.
The award supports a 50-hour, $20/hour internship for each student.
Who is eligible for a Mellon internship?
This program is open to undergraduate students who are either looking for an internship or have already secured an internship and are interested in funding and career development workshops.
Eligible students must be majoring or minoring in the following departments or programs:
An internship director in each department reviews each student’s qualifications, skills, and goals for suitability and—if they meet the criteria—matches them with employers.
