CAREER COACHING
Career coaching is a hands-on, interactive process where you can work with a Career Coach to develop a plan of action around a career-related topic.

What types of appointments are available?
We offer both in-person and virtual (in Handshake) career coaching appointments. Appointments are 30 to 60 minutes in length depending on the topic.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Appointments are scheduled in Handshake in the Career Center section. You can learn how to schedule an appointment by reviewing this Handshake article.
Be sure you have your notifications in Handshake set up in order to receive e-mail reminders for your appointments. If you are not sure how to manage your notifications, this Handshake article can help you.
When are appointments available?
Appointments are released in the Handshake system on a two-week, rolling basis. If you don’t see any appointments available, check back periodically to see what new appointments have been released.
How do I cancel an appointment?
If you need to cancel your appointment, please log back into Handshake and use the appointment tool to cancel and/or reschedule your appointment. You may do this up to one hour before your appointment’s start time, but we ask that you cancel an appointment as early as possible so someone else may use the time.
If it is less than an hour before your appointment’s start time OR you missed your appointment entirely, please call to let us know what happened. Please be sure to review our No-Show Guidelines.
What if I have technical problems during a virtual appointment?
All of our virtual appointments will be delivered inside Handshake. Please review this Handshake article for recommendations on how to fix audio or video issues.
