My name is Joseph Russell. I am currently a trainee in a program to become a field sales rep for pharmaceutical company. Yeah, absolutely, so I work for Boehringer Ingelheim. We are an animal health and human pharma company. We make and manufacture a variety of different drugs for a variety of different reasons. I work in the animal health division. And so our biggest products are all for flea and tick prevention and heartworm prevention. We also do vaccines and different therapeutics. Yeah, so I'm in a developmental program to become a full-time field sales rep. So I relocated from Minneapolis, Minnesota down to Atlanta, Georgia. On a daily basis, we make outbound calls. They use inside sales as a vehicle to teach us the products, their sales process, the clinics, the industry, and you you get development and training over an 18 to 24 month period. But at the end of the month, there's what's called, they call it a metrics, and so you have to get so many greens within the metrics with no, what they call, reds. So there's different thresholds based on calls per day, sales per day, your revenue generated, your call quality when they score, they review your calls. And so once you get three greens and you have your product training done and there's a territory spot open for a cover, you go on a cover. So there's about 340 reps across the country. So what happens is obviously people go on maternity leave, medical leave. When that happens, they need someone to cover those territory. So they will put you there three, four months or how long it may be to cover that territory, and it's kinda like a dry run for you. So if you do well, you can then move forward and apply for a permanent territory spot.
