Information Desk Attendants serve as the first point of contact for many visitors to the University Student Center, and provide information, directions, and general advice on university policies, with a strong focus on guest service. Information Desk Attendants are responsible for providing information about programs, services, and activities at the University Student Center and on the university campus and serve as a point of contact to University Student Center staff.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
Utilize proper guest service skills and disseminate information to visitors of the University Student Center
Log in and out packages for residents on campus
Answer a multi-line phone in a professional and organized manner
Answer all USC and university related questions for clients and students
Research university information as needed by clients and students
Organize and maintain the desk
Notify custodial and maintenance staff of any areas requiring cleaning or repair
Track, log, and store all lost and found items that are turned into the desk
Arrive 15 minutes before the shift begins and exhibit a positive attitude while working with customers and colleagues
Perform other duties assigned by Professional Staff
