Technology Services is responsible for providing technical support to USF Sarasota-Manatee faculty, staff, and students, particularly with the utilization and troubleshooting of all classroom technology systems. Systems include PCs, monitors, networked printers, projectors, servers, databases, PA, and control systems. Work may include event type assistance including occasional work off-campus.
DUTIES: This position is focused on the service and support of systems related to hybrid courses and distance education, to improve and enrich the instructional technology for students and faculty. Technology support includes, but is not limited to, the use of learning management support systems (CANVAS), TEAMS, Panopto, and other lecture capture systems, and related hardware and software peripherals (PCs, webcams, and microphones), as well as other technology support which may or may not be delivered via “live” electronic streams or other means. Evening and weekend hours may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):
Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with one year of customer service or IT experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information technology. Experience with TEAMS and other course delivery methods, i.e. Canvas, etc.
