Job Summary
Student Center Support Staff serve as guest coordinators and are often the first point of contact for many visitors to the Campus Student Center. They provide information about programs, services, and activities at the CSC and on the Sarasota-Manatee campus. Student Center Support Staff additionally provide housing operation support through temporary access cards, mail service, and tracking resident arrival and departure.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Customer Support
Provide excellent customer service to all clients and visitors within the facility
Provide clients and visitors with information about programs, services, and activities within the CSC and across campus
Make rounds of the CSC to check condition of facilities and complete walkthrough of spaces to straighten out furnishings, reset areas, and inspect spaces & furnishings
Answer telephone in a professional and organized manner
Keep information desk organized and neat
Serve as a point of radio communication with colleagues
Check in and out equipment rental for lounge and gaming spaces
Housing Support
Program ID cards and provide building access to residents in accordance with established procedures
Track resident arrival and departure within the housing database system
Check in and out housing related equipment, such as hand carts
Receive and sort mail and deliveries, track all deliveries and notify students of receipt
Keep mail room organized and neat
Other
Shall have a working knowledge of and enforce CSC policies, rules, and regulations
Complete daily shift report
Participate in all meetings for CSC staff, as required
Attend meetings with supervisor on a regular basis
Perform other duties as assigned by CSC Administrative Team
Qualifications
Currently enrolled USF student
Willingness to work between 10 – 15 hours per week (additional hours available during academic breaks)
The CSC operates 7 days a week and needs staff coverage nights, weekends, and academic breaks
Must have the ability to lift up to 20 lbs unassisted (reasonable accommodations can be made)
Ability to work with others to accomplish tasks
Employment Dates
Anticipated start date: Monday, August 11, 2025
Includes virtual, self-paced training Monday – Friday, August 11 – 15 and in-person training Monday – Thursday, August 18 – 21. Work shifts begin on Friday, August 22, 2025.

Monday – Friday: 8am – 10pm
Saturday & Sunday: 10am – 7pm
